Estuary Island is situated in Poovar on the southern tip of coastal Kerala. It is set in the capital city of Thiruvananthapuram. Kerala is famed for its beautiful beaches, and backwater network that comprises tranquil lakes and rivers. How to get there
Poovar is about 30 km from the city centre. You can take a taxi or auto to the Poovar jetty. Estuary Island is a 15-minute boat ride away.
The resort will provide a pick up and drop from the airport or railway station on request.
Poovar is typically tropical with temperature varying between a humid 25˚C and 36˚C.
The best time to visit is between October and March, when the evenings get cooler. The monsoon hits the coast between June and August, when it is traditionally considered the best time for Ayurvedic treatments.
Poovar Beach: The beach is just a short cruise from the resort. Sunsets are a spectacular sight here. A walk on the beautiful, white sands of the beach with the wind in your hair and the sea spray is a relaxing, yet exhilarating feeling.
Kovalam: With its famed beaches, Kovalam, a popular tourist hotspot, is less than 15 km from here.
